Tips To A Fitter YOU
You are never going to diet. You love your food. Worse, you feel too hungry to concentrate on the job at hand. Think that you are destined to your excess weight. Think again. Maybe, the kilos need not pile up any more. All you need to do is take these baby steps to step up your metabolism.
Walk
Do not balk at the thought of the three-km marathon. All you need to do is walk for 20 minutes a day. Does this sound too ambitious? Break it into two 10-minute stretches. Or you can even do five for a few days before you find empty minutes to fit in 20.
Don't starve
It is a known fact that starvation directly translates into bingeing when you can no longer hold yourself away from food. Eat every two hours. Only, limit the portions to the size of your fist. Then you can graduate to portions a little smaller than the fist.
Watch less TV
Research says we eat large quantities while we watch our favourite show on the telly. It has been found that romantic films tempt people watching them to eat more - be it finger chips or cookies.
Find a buddy
Don't eat alone as far as possible. Try your luck at getting an "Eat Buddy" at your work place. If you feel like pigging out on a pizza at least share it with your buddy. This will directly cut your portion size to half. Eat slowly and savour every bite. You will be full even before the last bit. And you will have a friend who will point fingers when you are tempted to swallow a few extra bites.
Weigh yourself
You might to tempted to do the above activities once you see the weighing machine needle swerve madly to a number you would rather not face.
