Basic Skin Care

Beauty is the first present nature gives to women and the first it takes away. The greatest asset a woman can possess is a smooth, supple skin. Skin is one of nature's wonders, we all have been bestowed with. It has been rightly remarked that you have only one face and that face has to last you a life time... so let's treasure it!

Even the most beautiful skin requires a meticulous skin care routine. The extreme changes of weather, the ravages of passing years, harshness of wind, weather and environmental conditions have a detrimental effect on your skin. Skin prone to rough, uncaring treatment leads to loss in skin elasticity and causes wrinkles and lines appear.

The most appealing asset any woman can possess is a beautiful dewy skin. Real beauty and health are like two sides of the same coin. Your skin requires constant monitoring and pampering. Do not wait for a problem to arise before you start caring for your skin. No amount of make up can camouflage 'the flaws on the skin' caused by indifference and neglect.

Constant care, cleansing, toning, moisturizing and nourishing all round the year are the fundamental routine to be followed by every woman. Ideal skin is known for its firmness, glow and clearness.

10 Minute Skin Care

Once you have developed your skin care routine it should only take a few minutes every morning and night. Be sure that the products you use are correct for your skin type.

1. Always remove eye makeup before going to bed. Dampen a cotton wool pad or ball with remover and wipe over the eye area. Do this gently and never pull or tug at the skin around the eyes, which is very delicate. You may need to go over the lids and lashes a few times until all traces of makeup are gone.

2. Next cleanse your face thoroughly. If you suffer from spots or acne you may find using a complexion brush helps to unblock pores.

3. Tone your skin with the appropriate formulation, then apply a light film of moisturizer. Gently massage it in and tissue off any excess.

4. Moisturize your neck and throat, too, as the skin in these areas can easily become dry. Work the moisturizer up from the throat towards the jaw.

5. Always pluck your brows from underneath the natural arch and in the direction of the hair's growth.

6. Apply one of the special eye creams that reduce morning puffiness and swelling. These are usually made from herbal extracts.
