How to choose rightly when eating out
Restaurant meals don't have to mean dieting disasters. The secret
is not to view them as an indulgent treat but as a regular part
of life.
1. If you know you're going out, cut back on calories the day before.
2. Study the menu carefully. Avoid deep fried foods and go for
high carbohydrate options such as rice and pasta dishes that fill
you up faster.
3. Give the starter or dessert a miss.
4. On set menus, avoid the cheese board - go for fruit instead.
5. Pile your plate with vegetables and salad.
6. Watch what you drink. Alcohol is full of empty calories.
