How to Get a French Manicure

1) First buy a French manicure kit. It will contain a base or top-coat polish, tip guide strips, a sheer and white polish.

2) Begin by exfoliating your hands - massage them using body scrub. Rinse, dry thoroughly.

3) Clip, file and shape your nails.

4) Coat hands in a layer of sweet almond oil, then wrap them in a warm towel. Unwrap 15 minutes later, gently push back cuticles using a rubber hoof stick. Wash hands, remove all oil residue.

5) Affix a guide strip following the natural curve below the tip of the nails. Apply the base/top coat over your entire nail and allow for a few minutes to dry.

6) Paint each nail tip white, extending the brush stroke from the top of the guide to the end of the nail. Let the lips dry.

7) Now, remove all guides and to dissolve leftover adhesive, rub the nail gently with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.

8) Finally, apply a coat of a neutral or translucent shell-pink polish over the entire nail to seal the whitened tip.
